The only affect the new English translations have on the Liturgy of the Hours is on the concluding prayer. Some of you have asked where to find these new concluding prayers. Until an addendum or new publishing of the LOTH is done you will have to use the Collect from the Roman Missal. What affects have the new English Mass translations upon the Liturgy of the Hours? Some of you may recognize that the LOTH uses concluding prayers from the Mass Collect. Since Advent, we, as often as possible, have used the new translations even in the absence of updates to the printed LOTH. We do so to show its unity with the Eucharist.
