With MacOS X you can customize toolbars in the finder.
So why can’t you customize your dock as well?
With Dock Separators you can group your applications simply by dragging a copy of your favorite separator into the dock. You may just as easily remove a separator by dragging it away from the dock.

  1. Hi, Was wondering if it was possible to make separators out of these lightsaber icons, with out the shadows of course? I know they are similar in file type, I just don’t know how to convert, edit, and then make them into the dividers.

    http://interfacelift.com/icons-mac/details.php?id=1525 -link for original files.

    Thanks!

  2. Hi, the “Dock Separators” are small “do-nothing” applications, since the Dock only allows applications to be putted onto it.

You can fairly easily duplicate any of the separator and paste on it any icon you like in the get info window (in the Finder, select the duplicated separator and press command-i to access the “get info” window).

Of course you’ll need to get info from the source document and copy its icon first.

Please let me know if you succeed or if you need further assistance.
